Faun Fables - Sleepwalker

 Dawn McCarthy and  Nils Frykdahl

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ah
The wind is warm
It blows my long hair
My sister reminded me
Spirits are thick in the dusk air
Where did her dreams go
So dear
They live in one that's
Still here

Sleepwalker, sleepwalker
Who's there
Sleepwalker, sleepwalker
Take care

My arms out before me
The bushes don't ignore me
Along this pretty road
Puddles all aglow"
Where did her dreams go
So dear
They live in one that's
Still here

Sleepwalker, sleepwalker
Long hair
Sleepwalker, sleepwalker
Night air

Bah ah, bah ah, bah ah
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Bah

Searching for a beginning
Maybe I'll hear her singing

Sleepwalker, you must take care
Sleepwalker, trailing your long hair

Terry Riley - Persian Surgery Dervishes

You have read the reports, some fool has triggered World War III, a general has sneezed and hit the wrong button. With the flare of mushroom clouds visible in the far horizon, you reach for the sandoz stash that you have put away in case of just such an aberrant event.

But what to play for the pageant that is the end of earthly life as we know it? I'm not exactly sure but it won't be Scott Joplin. Better get something that will vibrate at the molecular level. What's your pick?

Kraftwerk - Trans Europa Express (original)

Khumbu Ice-Fall

Steel Pulse - Chant A Psalm

Booker T. Jones: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

Jenyne Butterfly - Miss Pole Dance South Africa - Massive Attack

What's more appropriate for the holiday season than a bit of pole action? Oh, and Fred Astaire...for all his accomplishments...wouldn't have attempted these moves...with a ten-foot...uh...pole?

Debussy - String Quartet (Quartetto Italiano)

The Doors - Ships with sails 1972

From the little known Other Voices record, this cut was my favorite post Morrison Doors song and I still love it. Never saw the live, jammed out version before. Not terrible.

Butts Band - Everybody's Fool.

Robby Krieger - Russian Caravan (Intro) from Singularity

The Doors - Moonlight drive (early version)

Guess they found the master... the text below is from a Guitar World interview with Robbie Kreiger:

Why wasn’t “Moonlight Drive,” the first song you wrote and rehearsed together, on the first album?

It wasn’t really the first song: “Indian Summer” was, and “Moonlight Drive” was the second. But we didn’t think the version that we cut was good enough, so we decided to drop it off the first album and try again next time. Unfortunately we’ve never been able to find the damn master for the first version. I think we may have found it now, and I hope I’m right because I always thought it was good. It was totally different than the one on Strange Days. It was real dark and laid-back, very spooky.
